Y&R’s Joshua Morrow Hypes Son Crew’s Soap Opera Debut
The Young and The Restless (Y&R) star Joshua Morrow hyped his son’s big soap opera debut. Morrow just celebrated the 30th anniversary of his character Nick Newman on The Young and the Restless. His son, Crew Morrow, is stepping into his shoes. He will make his big debut on The Bold and the Beautiful.
Crew will take on the role of Will Spencer, the son of Katie Logan (Heather Thomas) and Bill Spencer (Don Diamont). Thomas and Diamont previously played on Y&R. Crew’s debut on B&B will air on August 1st. In the meantime, he’s got support from his father.
Joshua Morrow Discusses Crew’s Debut
Josh Morrow appeared on the Michael Fairman Channel for a livestream interview. He talked about the aspects of his soap career. His son is following his footprint.
Joshua made his debut on Y&R when he was just 19 years old. He revealed how his son Crew started his soap acting career.
“This is something enormous for us. I’ve got four children, and this is the son that has picked up a new passion and hobby every six months of his life,” Josh declared. “He was on his way to go to school in Oregon, and he took his final trip with his mother, and he got on the plane. He goes, ‘You know what? I’m not going to do this. These aren’t my people. I’m just going to go home and write movies and be an actor.”
Joshua had a serious discussion with Crew. He warned him that it was not going to be an “easy” transition. Crew already took one acting class up to this point. Josh introduced him to his manager. Crew landed roles in movies and a role on The Bold and the Beautiful.
Comments On Crew Morrow’s Role
Joshua Morrow is excited to see Crew Morrow play the role of Will Spencer. He admits that “he’s going to be a star.” Joshua feels confident about Crew’s new role.
“I cannot wait for the world to meet him, and for all of you to meet him, because he is a great kid,” Joshua continued. “He’s far more ambitious than I was. He’s far more dedicated to improving himself. He is going to be a very, very big deal. Mark my words.”
Y&R fans reacted to Joshua Morrow’s interview on Reddit. Most commented that Crew is a spitting image of his father. They got flashbacks to Joshua’s debut on The Young and the Restless. One fan suggested that Crew should’ve played the role of Nick Newman’s long-lost son instead.
“Kind of surprised they didn’t hire him on this show. He could be a long lost son Nick never knew about,” the user wrote.
“Nepotism,” another user noted.
