General Hospital (GH) spoilers and update tease Nicholas Alexander Chavez is not ruling out a future return as Spencer Cassadine, but he’s okay with the role being recast as well.

Spencer has been presumed dead for around ten months now, but Nicholas has been extremely busy-he explains what’s happened.

General Hospital Spoilers – “Monsters” Filming, Then Offered “Grotesquerie”

Viewers may recall Nicholas intended to make his return once he completed filming the captivating tale of the Menendez brothers; yet, he has yet to do so.

During the production of the latter half of Season 2 of the Monsters anthology series, the illustrious creator Ryan Murphy extended an enticing offer to Chavez.

This was for a prominent role in Grotesquerie, a regular tv series which graces FX screens on Wednesdays at 10/9c; and the role could not be more different than in “Monsters”.

“It presented a remarkable chance to immerse myself in a realm that starkly contrasts with the Menendez brothers,” the actor shared with TVLine, “so I was genuinely thrilled to embrace this opportunity.” At this juncture, the burgeoning star would likely find it quite challenging to carve out the time to revive his character from General Hospital; he’s simply too busy.

GH Spoilers – “Grotesquerie”

In “Grotesquerie” a detective teams up with a nun to delve into a string of brutal crimes that appear to have a personal connection. As they navigate their own struggles, they unravel a dark conspiracy that leaves them with more questions than solutions.

Nicholas plays Father Charlie Mayhew in all ten episodes of the series, which also stars Courtney B. Vance, famous for the long-running crime drama “Law And Order-Criminal Intent”.

Niecy Nash, who appeared on the long running HGTV show “Clean House” and has since appeared in “Dancing With The Stars” and “The Masked Singer” also stars.

General Hospital Spoilers – Nicholas Chavez Is Okay With Being Recast If Necessary

Fans have been clamoring for the return of a live Spencer, who is presumed to have drowned with no body recovered.

They want the ‘Sprina’ supercouple with Tabyana Ali as Trina Robinson to be reunited and have their happily ever after. Chavez hasn’t ruled out the possibility of returning to the soap that made him famous.

“Not at all,” he asserts; “Port Charles is a wild place, we’ll just have to wait and see what unfolds-” if GH needs to recast Spencer, Chavez is fine with it. He replaced Nicolas Bechtel when the character was aged up in 2021; saying, “Absolutely. I get that the show has its requirements,” Chavez explains, “and I would completely back that decision.”
