General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard) believed he was going to get away with the murder of FBI Agent John Cates (Adam Harrington).

Sonny shot and killed Cates at point blank range right outside the Quartermaine boathouse.

It’s unclear exactly what Sonny’s plan was after that because Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) wasn’t around to clean up his mess. Sonny was fortunate that Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) showed up at the scene right after the murder.

General Hospital Spoilers – Michael Corinthos took control!

Michael immediately took control of the situation. He sent Sonny up to the main house and he cleaned up the crime scene, removing the shell casings from the gun Sonny used. Once Sonny was gone, Michael eventually called the police and reported that he found Cates’ body.

Meanwhile, Sonny went to Carly and asked her to be his alibi for the time Cates was killed. To make it look good, the pair made it look like they had sex in Tracy Quartermaine’s (Jane Elliot) bed.

Sonny believed he had all the bases covered so that even if the cops suspected him, there would be no proof.

GH Spoilers – Kristina Corinthos-Davis is a wild card!

But what Sonny didn’t know at the time was that Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) stole one of Sonny’s guns from his home.

Although Kristina didn’t use the weapon, her mother Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) found it and immediately disposed of the weapon, worried that Kristina had done something terrible that night.

She dumped the weapon off the footbridge. Unfortunately, she was seen by Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) and Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) who reported the incident to the police.

General Hospital Spoilers – Alexis Davis could be arrested for murder!

Now Alexis is a person of interest in the murder, and it’s likely Kristina will be as well. There’s no way Sonny will let either Alexis or Sonny be charged with a crime that he committed. But if Sonny confesses, that will also put both Michael and Carly in trouble with the authorities.

Both of them are complicit in the cover-up of a murder. So, if Sonny is forced to confess, he could be taking both Carly and Michael down with him!
