The main reason for Days of our Lives to bring back the real Abigail is for the sake of Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn). Chad was crushed when Abby died. And Clyde Weston‘s (James Read) was cruel when he insisted she was still alive. Abby’s empty coffin gave Chad and Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) hope. But he was shattered when they found John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and Cat Green in Poplar Bluff.

Another reason to resurrect Abigail is for the sake of her children. Charlotte DiMera (Olivia & Oakley Rondou) and Thomas DiMera (Christopher Cary). And they need their mother. Abigail’s family, including Jennifer Horton (Cady McClain) and Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols), should have her back after the scheme. Bringing Abigail back would also be a treat for Days of our Lives fans. “Chabby” (Chad and Abby) is fan favorite super couple. Resurrecting characters may seem far-fetched. But it’s not uncommon in Salem.

However, there is one good reason to keep Abigail dead. And that is Clyde Weston. If Abigail is alive, the murder case against Clyde would be dropped. So this would leave only the drug charges. And he thinks his lawyer can get those dismissed. Clyde has to stay in prison. So, it may be best to let Abby rest in peace. If Days of our Lives decides to recast, there are several actresses to consider. Maybe Emma Ryland (ex-Lulu Spencer, General Hospital) or Kelly Monaco (ex-Sam McCall, General Hospital) would be great in the role.
