Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, October 2, reveals that Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) stopped by Xander Kiriakis’ (Paul Telfer) office to accuse him of hiring a thug to drug Brady Black (Eric Martsolf). Eric speculated that Xander might’ve been plotting to wipe Brady off the map and planned to prove he was up to no good.

After Xander threw Eric out, he looked at the gun from his drawer. Xander suggested the justice system had better work fast when it came to Brady or else he’d have to take matters into his own hands.

At the Salem PD on Wednesday’s Days episode, Brady begged Tate Black (Leo Howard) to believe he hadn’t been drinking last night despite seeming so out of it.

Tate ultimately said he believed Brady and vented to him about Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis), who snuck into Brady’s room to snoop and had apparently teamed up with EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel).

Brady thought EJ was up to his usual manipulation tactics and urged Tate to have compassion for Holly.

In the town square on Wednesday’s DOOL show, Sophia Choi (Madelyn Kientz) cornered Holly and pushed her buttons about playing teenage detective. Sophia also gloated about Tate confiding in her and hinted that she’d be the one to satisfy him in bed soon.

Holly smacked Sophia in the face right as Tate arrived and rushed to see if Sophia was OK. After Holly accused Sophia of starting it, Sophia acknowledged that she indeed did – but it was only because she was so upset about how Holly was treating Tate over his dad.

Although Tate admitted Brady had urged him to go easy on Holly, he decided he was done. Holly asked if that meant Tate was breaking up with her, but he didn’t offer a clear response.

Once Holly decided Tate was too much of a coward to clarify things, she said they were indeed over and suggested he’d be happy with Sophia instead. Holly angrily added that Sophia and Tate deserved each other before stomping off.

At the DiMera mansion on Wednesday’s Days episode, Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) got updates on Sarah Kiriakis’ (Linsey Godfrey) statement being the reason EJ arrested Brady again.

Kristen doubted that Sarah actually remembered, but EJ made it clear that Brady was going to do a lengthy stint in prison.

Once Kristen made her way to the Salem PD’s interrogation room, she vowed to get Brady out of this mess. Kristen wanted to make Sarah disappear, so she considered sending her back to the DiMera island or even blowing her up.

Brady shut down all that talk and pushed Kristen to accept that she couldn’t save him from the slammer, but Kristen refused to surrender.

After Kristen left on Wednesday’s Days episode, EJ arrived to rub his victory in Brady’s face. EJ made a prediction that nothing could stop Brady from doing serious time at Statesville.

Back at the DiMera mansion, Kristen drank and had a frustrated chat with Stefano DiMera’s (Joseph Mascolo) portrait.

Kristen knew nothing short of a miracle would save Brady – and suddenly, she was stunned as Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) came out of the DiMera tunnels.

In the park, Fiona Cook (Serena Scott Thomas) questioned Sarah about lying to the cops. When Fiona said she knew Brady couldn’t have been behind the wheel, she claimed it was because she eavesdropped on Sarah and Xander’s conversation.

Sarah confessed that she had no choice but to give the police a bogus story since it was the only way to save Brady and even Xander. Fiona was horrified over Xander’s fatal plot and said this was all her fault, but Sarah didn’t understand.

After Fiona blamed herself, she said maybe she could’ve stopped Brady the night of the accident and taken him to an AA meeting if she’d seen the warning signs. Fiona hoped that Sarah could find it in her heart to forgive her.

Sarah assured Fiona that none of this was her fault, but she also suggested they needed to keep what they talked about earlier under wraps. Fiona said it’d be their little secret as Eric eavesdropped nearby and looked uneasy.
