Days of Our Lives spoilers and updates reveal that Theresa Donovan (Emily O’Brien) has reached a plea agreement concerning the kidnapping of Victoria Horton-Cook,(Islay and Paisley Kerr). She has officially been sent to Statesville to serve a six-month sentence; with  this development, Emily O’Brien has taken the opportunity to discuss her recent departure from DOOL.

Emily O’Brien has stepped into the role of Theresa, taking over from Jen Lilley, but her journey doesn’t start there—she also played Gwen Rizczech.

In a candid interview with SOD, O’Brien revealed that her final day on set was an emotional one, filled with tears and a touching farewell speech to her colleagues.

Originally, she didn’t expect to stay on Days for as long as she did, so she feels grateful for the extra time she spent in Salem.

Fans of The Young and the Restless may recall her as Jana Hawkes back in 2011, the fiancée of Kevin Mitchell, played by Greg Rikaart who plays DOOL’s Leo Starke.

O’Brien admitted she never anticipated landing another daytime role, making her experience on Days a thrilling adventure that she cherishes.

DOOL Spoilers – Keeping In Touch Through Fan Events

O’Brien discussed how she maintains connections with her former co-stars through fan events and a recent screening hosted at Stacy Haiduk’s (Kristen DiMera) place.

She noted that the Days studio is conveniently close to her home, making it feel a bit surreal. “I feel like I’m part of it, yet I’m also on my own path for the time being. I miss everyone, but who knows what lies ahead?” O’Brien quipped.

With her roles as both Theresa and Gwen, her chances of returning are certainly doubled. According to SOD, it seems fans might be treated to O’Brien’s return, as hinted by their sources; watch for updates  on any developments regarding her comeback.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Never Say Never

With DOOL, never say never about characters returning or actors returning as different characters-Emily is probably the first to play two in a row like that.

The Deveraux family had been offscreen for a while and is returning, with Gwen’s birth dad Jack Deveraux (Matthew Atkinson) already there.

With Annalynne McCord playing most likely a not so dead Abigail Deveraux DiMera, unless there’s a huge twist-Gwen could always show up although she may be a less manipulative Gwen.

Or, Emily may come back in a few months as a totally different character-she’s been brunette, she’s been blonde, maybe the next time she’ll be a redhead! Days of Our Lives fans will just have to be patient and see!
