Days of Our Lives Loss Becomes General Hospital’s Gain! Greg Vaughan Jumps Ship?

Days of Our Lives spoilers - Greg Vaughan

Watching Greg Vaughan exit as Eric Brady on Days of Our Lives was extremely heartbreaking. While we know he will return for Doug William’s memorial episode in December 2024, there are many rumors circulating that those episodes will be the last we see of him. In fact, the actor recently posted on his Instagram story that leaving the soap was not his choice.

Thus suggesting that he was let go. However, the upside is, that Greg Vaughan will now have more time to try his hand at other shows. Interestingly, he is an out-and-out soap vet, who has been on multiple soaps. Apart from his much-loved run as Eric on DOOL, he has also portrayed Deigo Guittierez on The Young and The Restless.

Furthermore, another of his characters that was widely enjoyed by the fans was that of Lucky Spencer on General Hospital. He played the character from 2003 to 2009, and quite memorably so. However, we know that Jonathan Jackson is returning to the fold as Lucky, so the odds are nil for Greg to reprise that role.

But that doesn’t mean he has to stay away from Port Charles! General Hospital has a long history of recasting the same actors in multiple roles. Michael Easton and Roger Howarth are prime examples of that. So, if the makers want to take advantage of Greg Vaughan’s popularity and availability that can bring him to the fold as an all-new character!
