The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, October 2, reveals that Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) will rat Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) out for undermining her and accuse him of putting his own interests above what’s best for Glissade.

After Audra and Kyle bicker in Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) office, he’ll decide this partnership isn’t going to work and challenge them to prove which one should come out on top.

At the Abbott mansion, Kyle will notice Diane Jenkins-Abbott’s (Susan Walters) laptop is still logged in, so he’ll sneak on it and look in her new projects’ folder.

Once Kyle heads back to Newman Enterprises, he’ll tell Victor about a game-changing moisturizer that’s in the pipeline at Jabot.

Kyle will make it clear that he cares about Glissade’s success more than any lingering loyalty to his family.

After Kyle says they can move forward with this moisturizer and beat Jabot to the punch, Victor will wonder what they’re waiting for then.

Kyle will have one caveat since he’ll want Victor to fire Audra in exchange for this information.

At Society, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will argue with Diane about Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) since she’ll think he should sink or swim on his own.

Diane will also want to find a replacement for Kyle’s old role at Jabot, but Jack will worry about fueling more conflict.

When Jack accuses Diane of caring more about the company than their son, she’ll lash out at him.

Jack will step away to take a call, so that’ll also give Diane a chance to corner Audra once she walks in.

Diane will ask what it’s going to take for Audra to get her claws out of Kyle.

Audra will contend that she’s not the problem and will push Diane’s buttons until Jack intervenes.

When Jack apologizes for Diane’s behavior, that’ll rile up his wife even more since she’ll think Jack should be on her side.

Audra will seem intrigued over the trouble in paradise and take the intel back to Victor, who won’t be very impressed.

Although Audra will act like Kyle is going to be loyal to Jack and Diane in the end, Victor will ultimately decide Kyle’s the better asset to Glissade.

Y&R spoilers say Audra will be stunned as Victor tells her that she’s fired.

Back with Kyle, he’ll be in a chipper mood when he runs into Diane and Jack at Society, but he won’t tell them why.

Kyle will only respond with “Audra who?” when Audra’s name is brought up.

At the cottage, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will be up early to make breakfast and continue her recovery charade, so Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) will seem to buy it.

“Cameron Kirsten” (Linden Ashby) will warn Sharon not to spill too much in her therapy session this morning, which Nick will eventually drive her too.

At Crimson Lights, Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) will give Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) updates on Heather Stevens’ (Vail Bloom) decision to take off out of the blue.

Summer and Phyllis will think it’s too soon to panic, but Daniel will still seem unsettled and will decide to call Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) in Lisbon.

It turns out Paul got the same text from “Heather” about getting out of town for a few days, but he’ll confirm that she didn’t come to see him.

Back with Phyllis and Summer, they’ll approach Sharon and Nick at the coffeehouse.

Sharon will apologize for being rude to Phyllis the last time they faced off, so Phyllis will seem weirded out.

As for Nick, he’ll continue to watch Sharon closely and will look like he’s still uneasy deep down.

Once Phyllis reconvenes with Daniel at the GCAC, he’ll get a call from the police.

Daniel will then fill Phyllis in on a fisherman finding a body in the river.

The fingerprints will match Heather’s, but Daniel will try to convince himself that can’t be right and will plan to clear things up.

However, Daniel will face a crushing blow when he visits the morgue and sees Heather is indeed the one under the sheet.

It’ll leave Daniel struggling to contain his emotions as he looks down at Heather’s pale corpse.
