Viewers watching the September 30 episode of General Hospital are going to see a different face in Port Charles, as the ABC soap has recast the role of Lucky and Liz’s son Aiden once again. Soap Opera Digest has learned that newcomer Colin Cassidy has taken over the character from Tristan Riggs.
Of his first daytime role, Cassidy told the outlet, “I feel incredibly grateful for this opportunity… To be thrown in with the incredible actors I’m working with and have these amazing scenes to do … It’s really not something to scoff at! It’s a big deal and I’m very grateful.”
Speaking of big, the scenes coming up are sure to be as such, considering Lucky is returning to Port Charles and about to come face to face with Liz after being away for so long. And Aiden, well, Lucky has missed a lot over the years, most recently the fact that his son came out to Liz in December 2023. If that hadn’t been hard enough for Aiden, emotions will likely be in full swing when being reunited with his dad.
Cassidy appears to have gotten a good handle on the character and found that it was easy to bond with his onscreen mom Rebecca Herbst, calling her “incredible!” And his real-life family, as one can imagine, they are supper excited to watch his debut. “They will be more excited than me!” he shared then went on to explain, “Obviously, I’m excited, but they are my biggest supporters and they will be cheering me on.”
And we will be cheering him on as well… Welcome to daytime!
