As an aside, the fans might have had their fill of Steffy’s condescending attitude toward Hope. Wood’s character holds all the cards and is rubbing them hard against Hope’s nose.

Steffy’s bond with Finn was infinitely reinforced by his rescuing her from Luna Nozawa’s (Lisa Yamada) grip. But Steffy is also responding to Hope’s recent kiss of Finn with historical precedence in mind, meaning the triangle with Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) and Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) being with Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) rather than the returned Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig).

Carter’s connection with Katie needed to be explored. That was a shame, as there was plenty of plot space available.

Katie’s potentially renewed interest in Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) is only playing out now. Liam treats Steffy and Hope badly, so he puts himself in a position where neither lady is part of his romantic life.

Hope was never interested in a serious relationship with Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson). She treated him badly, rejected two marriage proposals, and he is now engaged to Paris Buckingham (Diamond White).

Viewers were engaged when Carter suggested that Hope step in front of the camera and model for HFTF, building on Brooke’s success. Her response to that and this duo’s chemistry exchange offer a solid opening for romance to bloom this fall in Los Angeles, California. This pairing has significant potential, and hopefully, it will be pursued.
