General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates reveals as we all know, most of the time a soap is filmed on a set, away from prying eyes. However, sometimes a scene calls for it to be shot on location. With GH, sometimes that can be in a car or out in the woods somewhere.

Most recently over on his Instagram, Steve Burton AKA Jason, shared a photo of her and fellow actor Maurice Bernard (Sonny) surrounded by some fellow crew members, telling his followers that he was filming on location, in the parking lot right outside their studio.

“On Location. Outside our studio. Did a quick car scene. Good to be back working with this dude. @mauricebernard Sonny and Jason back at it.” Back at what, though? Well, that remains to be seen. Though it would be funny if it were something completely innocuous for once, however, who are we kidding? This is Port Charles.

General Hospital Spoilers – Art imitates life or is it the other way around?

Bernard recently took two weeks off of the soap in order to better deal with his on-going battle with bi-polar disorder, something that his character battles on the show as well.

Some fans have speculated that the recent storyline documenting Sonny’s troubles may have contributed to Bernard’s own real life battle, but so far the actor really hasn’t said that.

What he did say in his “State of Mind” podcast that while his wife and son were traveling abroad recently, he found himself getting more anxious and afraid to leave the house.

That resulted in his two week departure from the show. It was probably a case of art imitating life more than anything.

GH Spoilers – Not their first rodeo

Everyone agrees that it’s good seeing Sonny and Jason together again on-screen. This isn’t the first time the duo has shot scenes inside a car, after all, they’ve been scene partners for decades at this point.

In fact, one of Burton’s favorite scenes took place in a car, it was inside a limo, kind of a rare treat even if you are a soap star. The scene was six minutes long and according to Burton, “It looked like a movie.”

Mad props to the director and camera man for their work on said scene, it’s rare that soap scenes get such high praise coming from even the actors that performed in them.

One does wonder what this new scene that they were filming will entail, but so far mum’s the word on what Sonny and Jason were doing inside that car.

Probably something nefarious, maybe it has something to do with their plans for Ava, or the pharmacist, or Valentin… probably the latter, but we’ll just have to stick around to see. Stay tuned!!!
