Y&R Spoilers: Phyllis’ Addition Keeps Billy Afloat At Abbott Chancellor?
Y&R Spoilers: Phyllis’ Addition Keeps Billy Afloat At Abbott Chancellor?
The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) appears to have talked her way into the job Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) used to hold.
Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) did not recruit Phyllis. Instead, he accepted her pitch.
In a creative-minded turn of events, Phyllis saw Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) sparring with Billy at the Genoa City Athletic Club. That moment inspired Phyllis to propose.
It’s possible that Phyllis’s addition to the Chancellor Abbott team, now two instead of just Billy, extends that operation’s life. The length of that period remains shaky.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Victor Newman Wants Abbott Chancellor
Victor believes it’s abhorrent Billy is running what once was Chancellor Industries. He can’t stand Billy-boy sullying Katherine Chancellor’s (Jeanne Cooper) legacy. What the Grande Dame would think is a point of open debate because of the connection to Jill Abbott (Jess Walton).
Without having to do much, Victor is watching Billy slowly implode. Firing Lily was a sign that the end of AC was near.
Learning that Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) quit was further evidence that Billy was going to give up the ball without Victor having to pressure the defense. That football season reference is apt, with Billy probably still scrambling late in the fourth quarter to preserve the victory.
Y&R Spoilers – Billy Abbott Is Too Sure Of Himself
Billy referred to himself as Victor’s equal. That’s never been true in business and certainly never will be. The fact that Billy believes what he is saying makes him more vulnerable to takedown.
However, Billy believes Victor’s advanced age and arrogance make him an equal opponent. Thompson’s character needs to gain the necessary experience and ability to execute a game plan skillfully.
Victor’s measured maneuvers with Lily demonstrate how pieces are moved on a business chessboard. While Braeden’s character is playing a three-dimensional game, Billy merely perceives he is winning in checkers.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Phyllis Summers Is A Sharp Addition
Late in the game, here comes Phyllis. Red, as Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) used to call her fondly, possesses just enough guile to make Billy and Victor’s life interesting.
Billy can use Phyllis’ mutual dislike of Victor. Together, they can plot creative attacks that prevent Victor from undermining AC. They may also seek to go on offense against Newman Enterprises.
Assuming that Victor positions Glissade as he wants to, Jabot will be its target. AC is somewhat of a Newman Enterprises competitor. As a global behemoth, Newman is the class leader.
However, someone as motivated and technically savvy as Phyllis can clog Victor’s plans, at least in the short term. Fans will bet heavily on Victor through the soap app in the long term.
