General Hospital Spoilers: Could A Familiar Villain Be Headed Back To Port Charles?

General Hospital spoilers and updates tease a familiar villain could be headed back to Port Charles, and if one isn’t, there should be! It would appear that Port Charles is short on villains, and the current crop of one bad guy doesn’t pass muster.

General Hospital Spoilers – One Dead, One Reformed, One In Hiding-Who’s Left?

With John Cates (Adam J. Harrington) dead, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) in hiding and missing, and Heather Webber (Alley Mills) now “reformed,” Port Charles lacks a true villain.

While Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is still around, he doesn’t fit the role of a major antagonist and seems to have more allies than enemies. Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) might be back, known for causing trouble, but he doesn’t seem poised to create the usual chaos.

General Hospital Spoilers: Could A Familiar Villain Be Headed Back To Port Charles?

The Sidwell (Carlo Rota) group holding Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) captive is too mysterious, and it’s unclear if they will be the villains we hope for.

They may have potential, especially the villainous Ulrich “Jenz” Sidwell, but he may not be around long enough before Lucky escapes.

GH Spoilers – Musical Chairs Writers Lately

This summer brought significant changes to the General Hospital writing team. According to Soap Opera Digest, Patrick Mulcahey has stepped down as co-head writer, a position he held alongside Elizabeth Korte, while Chris Van Etten has returned to the role.

With nearly 12 years of experience on the show, Van Etten is no stranger to its dynamics, and Korte has been a staple since 1995. Their extensive backgrounds in crafting storylines give us hope that they will revive a character who always added a thrilling edge to the drama in Port Charles.

If it were up to us, we would love to see one of the following characters make a comeback-some are dead, but there are ways around that.

General Hospital Spoilers – Nelle Benson

Let’s talk about Nelle Benson, portrayed by Chloe Lanier. We all remember that dramatic moment when Nelle seemingly fell off a cliff during her confrontation with Carly (Laura Wright), and her body was reportedly discovered and laid to rest. But let’s be honest—reviving a soap character from the dead is hardly groundbreaking.

Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) has had his fair share of “deaths,” and the Cassadines seem to have more lives than a cat!

So, it’s not too far-fetched to imagine that Nelle might have staged her own demise, plotting her comeback with a vengeance aimed at Carly, Sonny, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), and others.

GH Spoilers – Nelle Benson Makes Perfect Sense Now

Additionally, Michael is in for quite a shock when he discovers that Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) has been secretly meeting with Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison). This could be the ideal moment to reintroduce Nelle.

If Michael and Willow decide to divorce, Nelle could come back as Wiley Corinthos’ (Viron Weaver) biological mother, aiming to assert her rights for custody. Besides, Chloe Lanier is very handy right now, dating Josh Kelly who plays Cody Bell in real life.

General Hospital Spoilers – Peter August

Many didn’t like Peter August (Wes Ramsey) but again, like Chloe Lanier, the actor’s handy, being Laura Wright’s live-in. Once again, a touch of soap opera magic is needed, as he is thought to be dead.

He met his end at the hands of Felicia (Kristina Wagner), who was in the midst of saving Maxie (Kirsten Storms), while Anna (Finola Hughes) allegedly witnessed his last moments.

However, with a clever twist in the storyline, Anna might have misjudged the situation, and Peter could very well be alive.

Peter’s survival would undoubtedly create chaos for the Jones family; having recently welcomed Cody into their fold, the Joneses are currently enjoying peace, so Peter’s return could allow him to be hero.

GH Spoilers – Helena Cassadine

Our ultimate pick for a villainous comeback hails from the notorious Cassadine family. Their brand of madness has always provided some of the most captivating moments on television, and their absence has been felt.

While Valentin and Victor (Charles Shaughnessy) are indeed part of the Cassadine lineage, they haven’t quite brought the level of drama we expect from this infamous clan.

We’re really hoping for a return of iconic figures like Helena (Constance Towers) or Stavros (Robert Kelker-Kelly), as both have a knack for making a significant splash in Port Charles.
