As we get into General Hospital, Portia is on the phone asking for Heather’s test results when Curtis walks in to show her the Aurora Wellness Center. She, though, is waiting for the results. She can’t let it go, even after he says that she can’t let Heather run her life. Portia’s worried that Ric is working on Heather’s case: “From what I’ve heard, he’s a much better lawyer than Scott is.”
Curtis thinks Heather’s a changed woman and she WAS suffering a medical condition when she did stuff. But he says they’ll testify to keep her in jail if they have to. She needs to pay for her crimes. But Portia’s worried about what will happen once her bloodwork gets out and all anyone will care about is her not being well.
Curtis leaves a visibly upset Portia to get back to the wellness center.
At Alexis’ Molly flips out when her mom gets her and Kristina together and begs them to spend five minutes together. Molly doesn’t want to hear it at all, first laying into Alexis, then into Kristina. She never thought about TJ and Molly doesn’t think he’ll ever be able to recover.
They yell back and forth, each referring to the baby by their own names. Kristina says she was protecting Adela, while Molly says she never wanted to give them Irene. Michael shows up just as they’re screaming and Kristina tells him to take her somewhere, anywhere from them.

Ric and TJ are in the gym at the Wellness Center, as Ric spots TJ as he bench presses. Out of nowhere TJ blurts that he’s afraid of what he’ll do if he doesn’t get his anger at Kristina out at the gym. He’ll never forgive her for planning on taking their baby, but he thinks eventually Molly will go back to Kristina and be hurt again.
Ric agrees that it’s just a question of when Molly’s pushed into forgiving Kristina, but Molly needs TJ to make it clear that she will always come first. The two of them will have to care for her in a way “her so-called family won’t.”
Curtis shows up just after TJ left and Ric tells him he’d like a membership for the wellness center. He then says how much he was impressed by TJ and the whole family. He’s grateful to Curtis and his family for being there for Molly.
Curtis then asks how he could represent “the woman who terrorized my daughter” if he’s so grateful to his family. Ric knows Curtis may despise Heather, but she’s not at fault for the faulty hip implant, nor did any of the others. Heather’s not the only one who was poisoned. If Ric drops the case, someone else will take it. Would he rather have a shark he doesn’t know represent Heather or someone who knows and respects them and will do what he can to do right by them all.
Ric tells Curtis that he’s bringing a civil case, not a criminal one and wants the makers of the device to pay. He’s already started lowering Heather’s expectations.
Over at Sonny’s, the don is demanding to know how long the search will take, but Anna says it’ll go faster if he can provide the gun to prove to ballistics it’s not the one used to kill Cates. Diane knocks on the door and Sonny says it’s perfect timing. Diane dresses Anna down about how all she has is speculation, then gloats as the officers don’t find any evidence. Anna’s not concerned, though. She wants to take Jason down to the station.

But Diane says she can’t and Jason refuses to go — unless Anna arrests her and Diane is present. Diane, though, tries telling Anna that Cates was the one with anger issues and motive for going after Sonny, only for her client to stop her and say he hated Cates and is glad he’s dead. Anna just smiles.
Diane tries pushing the commissioner out saying she’s done her duty, Sonny reported the gun theft he just discovered and they were done there. Michael and Kristina arrive before she leaves and Anna asks if they knew anything about their dad’s missing firearm.
Michael and Kristina both tell her they didn’t take it, so Diane tells Anna to get out. Before she does, though, Anna says she’s ashamed of Agent Cates, but nothing he did gave anyone the right to murder him. And they will solve his case. “Mark my words, I will bring his killer to justice.”
Diane heads out begging Sonny not to make the case any harder by opening his mouth any more. After she’s gone, Sonny tells Jason he knows what to do and Jason leaves without a word. With just the family left, Kristina tells her dad that he’s in more trouble than he knows because she took his gun.
More: Get all the goods on Sidwell and his portrayer
Lucky and Sidwell are playing cards talking about Isaiah, and Sidwell shrugs that he’s not worried about the doctor coming back or not. He then throws down what looks like a winning hand, until Lucky overturns his. Sidwell gets called away to the mine and leaves Lucky handcuffed once again.
Holly walks in and Lucky asks her to get the keys so they can escape together. She asks where Sidwell is, but looks intrigued to hear that he ran off to find something in the mines. Especially when Lucky mentions diamonds. Holly offers to cut him into the diamonds instead. If he finds what she thinks he found, it’s the biggest score of her career. But Lucky doesn’t care about a fortune if he’s dead.
Holly, though, has faith that he’ll be able to keep entertaining Sidwell.
Over at the hospital, Jordan walks in just as Sidwell’s man is about to inject something into Isaiah’s IV. “What are you doing?” She demands to see his hospital badge and he shoves her aside and runs off.
She chases after him and they fight in the stairwell where Jordan disarms the would-be assassin as he tries to stab her with the syringe. The cops escort him out, but he refuses to tell Jordan anything. She shrugs him off and tells Liz she’s requesting around the clock security on John Doe’s room.
At the PCPD, Dex asks Chase for help as Chase is combing over witness reports. Dex tells him that Sonny’s gun is missing, but didn’t seem that concerned and didn’t report it missing. Chase says maybe that’s because he’s sure he didn’t do anything to be concerned about.
More: Cates’ murder could be Sonny’s undoing
He tells Dex about Liz seeing Alexis dumping a gun in the river the night Cates was killed. And Dex tells Chase about Alexis screaming at Cates that he needed to be stopped. “I remember thinking this lady would kill Cates if she could.”
Anna gets back to the station where Dex fills her in on Alexis’ gun dropping, and tells him and Chase to keep her updated as they leave to go check on Alexis. Jordan walks in with the perp who tried to kill John Doe.
Alone, Alexis tries talking to Molly and tells her their family is important, begging her not to give up on Kristina. Molly instead says she won’t give up on the memory of her daughter. She doesn’t care how hard it is for Kristina, and she’s tired of Alexis always taking Kristina’s side. Alexis insists it’s not true, but Molly says she doesn’t need her mom. TJ and her will get through this horrible thing together. She can’t count on her mom.
In the show’s final moments, Ric says that while the implant and the company may be partly to blame for Heather’s actions, so is she. They’re on the same team. He’s going to get justice for Curtis’ family.
At the hospital, Portia’s checking Heather’s results, staring intently at the screen as she reads them.
Jordan tells Anna that a professional assassin attacked her, but Anna still can’t find John Doe’s identity. They go through what Anna found of the footage at the Port Charles airport and see not only Isaiah, but the hitman, too.
Liz, meanwhile, checks in on Isaiah, just as he sits up and manages to get out one word: “Lucky.” Back where he’s handcuffed, Lucky begs Holly again for the keys, but she can’t afford to lose Sidwell’s trust before she gets what she wants. She then tells Lucky to keep winning at poker and entertaining Sidwell, she has every confidence in him. And she walks out.
Kristina apologizes to Sonny in a rush, but he understands. It’s OK. The cops can’t touch him, but where is the gun? He’s glad she’s OK, but Sonny just stares as Kristina says Alexis got rid of the gun.
Just as Molly’s leaving, Dex and Chase show up to ask Alexis questions. About the gun she disposed of the night Cates was murdered. And off in a warehouse, Jason disposes of Sonny’s gun in a vat of acid.
