Lily has had to face setback after setback recently, recall The Young and The Restless Spoilers. From Daniel Romalotti’s betrayal to the whole corporate tussle at Chancellor-Winters/Abbott-Winters, Lily’s life has been a royal mess. However, a little birdie teases that things could soon take a sunny turn for her!
Recent media reports suggest that Y&R has put out a casting call for a new male lead for the soap. The casting calls for a male actor in his early to mid-40s. Furthermore, The Young and The Restless Spoilers reveal that the stint is potentially slated to be a three-year-long contract run.

As for the description of the character, the man is tall and attractive. As for his personality traits, he could be passionate and charming. But most interestingly, also capable of having a dark side. Now, that’s what we call a perfect leading man material in the soapverse!
While the casting call of course does not suggest that the man would be cast opposite Lily, we can easily connect the dots. Most leading male and female characters are currently embroiled in some sort of romantic drama. Even Nick Newman is getting pulled back into Sharon’s orbit. There also has been some talk of Phyllis getting caught up in that track.
Thus, the only leading lady who is painfully single at the moment and could really use a completely fresh storyline is – Lily Winters! Besides, if Lily starts seeing a new man, and Billy breaks up with Clesea amid the whole cheating drama, we could also have a potential love triangle at our hands. With Lily being in the center of it! And we are all for it!
